"Contract Value"
This may or may not actually be a bug, but it is something that could be corrected to resemble MLB practice.
Contract total value is incorrect when options are incorporated. Take the following example: PLAYER Contract Year 1 15,000,000 Year 2 16,000,000 Year 3 (Team Option) 17,000,000 with 2,000,000 buyout The game will report this as a 3 year 48 million dollar contract, and note the option below (using the contract status screen). However, in traditional MLB terms, the value of the contract = the guaranteed portion of the money. Therefore the contract should be reported as a 2 year contract worth 33 million (15M from year 1 + 16M from year 2 + 2M buyout which is guaranteed) with a team option for Year 3. |

I've seen it reported different ways. Sometimes they mentioned the guaranteed value only, sometimes they mention the full value. I find it more often will depend on who's doing the talking, and whether they want to show a smaller or larger value.
