OOTP realism
I have to say, if during an OOTP game, I gave up 7 straight 2-out singles like the Padres did, I'd be pretty damn annoyed.

Just goes to show you, perhaps, how difficult it must be to achieve "OOTP realism." This game really is quite an achievement.

Speaking of outrageous OOTP results, how about this: going into the bottom of the 9th inning leading 14-6. Then you give up 9 runs to lose the game 15-14; and you only managed to get one out. Oh, wait, that was a real game:
Buffalo 15, Pawtucket 14. Then there's the game where you're leading 26-9 heading into the final two innings. The final score: 26-23. At least you managed to hang on for the win. Wait, that was a real game too: Chicago 26, Philadelphia 23 Or how about a game where the teams combine to score 51 runs? Ridiculous! Uh, that's real too. Lake Elsinore 33, High Desert 18 No one likes being blown out, but by 30 runs? Utterly unrealistic! Well... Lake Elsinore 30, Lancater 0 The takeaway from all this: truth is stranger than fiction.

Yes, if these things happen rarely, than it's realistic. Must be impossible to program so that everyone is happy.
