Tough Division

First of all, Go Lightning!!

Anyway, back to OOTP.

I'm currently in a very tough division. My team is definitely relying on pitching and defense and I hope there is enough offense to take the division down.

Last year, with pretty much the same team we won 92 games but finished 9 games behind Baltimore who is also fielding pretty much the same team.

Baltimore has an A- offense where I have like a B. Our pitching staffs are about equal except that my bullpen is deeper. Keep in mind that in 1965 1 or 2 studs in the bullpen is usually more than enough. When it comes to defense I have the slight edge.

Baltimore has been so hot over the last 10 weeks. I had a 9 game lead over them on May 13th. I'm getting scared. This is eerily similar to how last year played out when they won it all.

New Jersey and Washington are young up-and-coming teams that have strong farm systems. At the beginning of the season I though New Jersey was 2-3 seasons away from competing. But that young pitching staff has been lights out. They also have a stud 23 year old catcher in the middle of their order. They are going to be trouble, That team is stacked.

Washington is very similar. Young, stacked, and a very deep farm system.

I feel like my window is closing and I have to get it done this year. I will be very aggressive in the offseason. I can feel my window closing.
