can you guys play two saves at once?

what I mean is can you keep two different saves and play them frequently enough to get a good chunk into the future? I ask this because I want to keep my current save going, and get way into the future, and also do a fantasy league or a historical save.

I guess what I'm asking is how do you guys manage your time between your saves?

You can start as many leagues as you have HD space for and computer power to run. Start 1 or 100 leagues if you like.

It also depends on your playing style. I could never do that, because I barely average one season per version, because I play out every game, and I don't play that often. So if you were me, I'd say no, it's not likely you can get very far in two games. But other people don't play out games, or only play out games occasionally. If that's the case, it's going to be tough.

i'm running two leagues right now. one is the one i am currently playing (or simming to be more accurate). The other is a "test" league where i try different things, such as editing the import/export files (so i learn how before mangling my real league) or when i was trying to figure out how to use the historical minors with a fictional one (you can't by the way) ... it's just there for experiments. But i do go back and forth from time to time. as Bluenoser said, you can have as many as you need for whatever reasons. Good luck.

One problem you're going to come across is that you can't slave for two masters for either you would love one and hate the other. I found it it was very difficult to devote my time to multiple leagues I tried it once before and I kept going back to one particular one and the other one which is completely neglected. Even though I enjoyed the concept of that second league and I had fun picking out the cities in nicknames it just didn't pan out for me. My second league that I was trying to run with two separate major leagues the Canadian baseball league and the Australian baseball league and they will play against each other in the commonwealth championship. The idea at the time was great I loved it I just didn't have the time to devote.

A shame, I would have loved to have seen your Australian League set-up...

I keep several leagues going at once. I have a Cleveland Indians start from 1947, a Cleveland Indians start from 1995, and several fictional leagues. Which one I play at any particular time depends on what I'm in the mood for.

Sometimes I might not play a league for months, and then when I come back to it, it seems like an entirely new game.

Then there are those of us with too much time on our hands! I play four saves and play out the games on all of them. Other than writing my novel, a far too active life on social media, and of course taking care of the house and dog, I just don't have much to do. Besides that, I don't sleep much.

Just say I don't have enough to keep my mind active beyond my XBOX games and reading.

I have two fictional league and I find that I can't stayed focused enough to enjoy both at the same time. I end up switching back and forth for long periods of time.
For me the continuity and "getting to know" your players, coaches, opponents and so forth is the fun of the game. I just can't keep track if I try to run multiple leagues.

I usually play one month per character before switching. Around the beginning of August I stay to the end of the playoffs with each character one at a time. I also keep notes on all players in separate files per character for their whole career. I have all transfers to me and away from me listed by character, awards they have won including minor awards like Pitcher of the Month. All injuries are there and more. That player has one entry for their whole career. I know them very well and remember by looking at their notes in my file. It works for me.

Sometimes when making a switch it takes a game or two to get back in the groove with that character, but, no big deal. You might try something similar. I just make transfer entries usually once per month. Everyone is in alphabetical order so not a problem.
