Players dissapear from minor leagues
Windows 7
Version 17.7.51 MLB quickstart Playing with roster limits (25 for AAA, AA, A+, A) (35 for A-) (45 for Rookie) Coaching/Scouting disabled. Scouting discoveries ON International free agents ON I was playing in my Pirates league in the MLB quick start last night when all of the sudden I got an error saying I had zero players in my lowest minor league level. I checked my roster and I had zero players in my lowest Rookie ball level, and 8 on another Rookie ball team. The last time I checked, I had a full roster (45), and approximately 35 players on the other team. I checked the transactions log and it did not look like any players had been released. This also happened mid season, so I know it wasn't free agents leaving. I uploaded my data files (letsgobucs.zip) Please assist! Thank you! |

I believe what's happening in your game is that you are running out of minor league players. You control minor league signings/releasing, but since the AI controls promotions, they're not filling all the minor league teams.
So I would say that we have a bug - we should better distribute players between your rookie league teams. However you also need to either provide more players to those teams, or turn on ghost players. That will ensure that your game can continue. We'll look to revise the minor league roster building over the summer, but I think adding in ghost players would be your best bet. Or if you let the AI handle minor league signings and releases, they will generally make sure that you have enough players on your teams. |

Thank you for your response.
Before the players disappeared, I had 3 Rookie ball teams, two of which had full rosters (45), and the one with around 35, and all of my minor league teams above that were full, and there were also a good number of players on the minor league DL. Also, this was mid season, so I don't see how I could be running out of minor league players if this was the case. |

I'm not sure. You had a lot of people move up on July 12th (the save date you sent). ~20 or more promoted to your A team, and another 30 or so that seemed to have gotten promoted to the Black Bears. So it kind of looks like your A ball team was emptied somehow. I definitely don't see anything that would have caused it, so unless if you know players who were on that team who mysteriously got released, I'm not sure what I can say.

Yeah I saw that too when I was looking through the transactions log, but didn't see anyone who was released. Unfortunately, I don't know what players specifically were on that team.
Could this potentially be related to the bug regarding the international complexes being emptied? I saw that was fixed with the new patch so perhaps this issue may be resolved? Also, thank you very much for looking into this. I know we all appreciate how hard all of you work to make this game great! Last edited by dbwool; 05-04-2016 at 01:25 PM. |
