This had me cracking up

So I've started a new game because there was nothing that I tried that could fix my clubhouse morale. I turned the roster over at least twice and everyone on the entire roster was positive, had good leadership, work ethic, low greed, etc.). I figured I screwed something up, so *reset button*

At least I thought I'd get off on the right foot with my owner. I extended Lucroy (and gave him an opt-out after two years that I hope he exercises), and then I went looking for a "local guy" because Attanasio said he wanted a hometown player. I found one on the Giants. I didn't know what he wanted for him so i hit the "Make it work" button. They wanted Ryan Braun.

Really, you want to give me what I want and you want to take this huge contract off my hands? You really, really want him? Do you want him enough to take on Matt Garza's contract too? I could swear I heard angels singing. (Or maybe laughing, from across the state.) A little more haggling, and bam:

Braun has the potential to be an MVP player, but if you don't win 70 games you need to work the roster a bit. I had to let him go if someone was going to take on that contract. In the end I had to add in Aaron Hill, but the Giants took both Braun and Garza, and I freed up $128M in future payroll.

I moonwalked back and forth and simmed a month or so knowing my job was secure and I could focus on rebuilding, when the best part came in the news:

Followed soon after by:

Braun is hitting but Hill is not (.212/.287.329), and Matt Garza is pitching out of the Giant bullpen with a fat 7.07 ERA.

Good times

Wait - they actually gave you a decent pitching prospect for those 3? Why can't my fellow OOTP GMs be like this?
