Game ignoring custom playoff series selection

I like to use best-of-9 series in my playoffs and the game is ignoring my choice of a 3-4-2 setup and scheduling them 2-2-2-2-1. I have confirmed my selection before the season, the day before the season ends, etc. and it still schedules them 2-2-2-2-1.

This appears to only be happening for my association playoffs. The league playoffs that were set for best-of-nine are scheduling properly (or at least they did on my next test). I then checked the association playoffs and they were still scheduling 2-2-2-2-1.
