Team Chemistry

How do you manage it? I got an email from my bench coach, DeMarlo Hale, stating that my team hasn't been the smoothest running machine. It has a small leadership group led by Tulowitzki, though he has said privately that he can't do everything by himself. Hale also mentioned that no one was really causing any major issues, and any tensions are just small issues. He also said that no one really cracks jokes (surprising, considering Josh Donaldson and Marcus Stroman are on this team).

How do I manage this stuff? Sounds like I need to bring in another leader-type guy and someone to loosen up the clubhouse a bit, but how do I view that information and go about guys like that?

You are correct. Bring in vets with high leadership and look for disruptive influences on the team. Sometimes it may be outspoken players, players that don't run out grounders, etc.

For finding the players, go to: Your league tab ----> Player Info --->Free Agents ----> Find the 'view' tab above the player list ----> Go to customize in the drop down menu ---->Then check leader ability. Then hit OK. Then sort through leaders in the FA section.

I just learned, the hard way, that after trading away all the veterans and having a team of only young players (all under 20 years of age) that the team chemistry was non-existent, no one got along and actually had a losing streak of 27 games. Once I added some veterans who had high leadership skills and removed the selfish players the team started to win a game or two.

I've got serious morale issues but I have nobody that's a disruptive influence other than those unhappy with their roles. Nothing personality-wise other than that.

Also make sure your manager isn't antagonizing the team
