Open in External Browser

When I click on this option the players page opens up using IE. What's a good program to use when opening in external browser and how would I change it to default?

Any browser will work to open as external browser .... IE, Firefox, Chrome. i use Firefox but that's just me.

to get to those settings (in a PC, and i am using Win 8.1 as my reference) - go to your Control Panel. Under "Programs" there is a category to "set your default programs" - click on it. Scroll down until you find the browser you want to be your default and click on it.

Should be all there is to it. Hope this works for you.

Does it have to use an Internet browser? Us there some app or program I can use? Say something akin to open office or Microsoft word?

It needs to be a browser, as it's opening an HTML page. The almanac is essentially a website hosted on your PC only you can access in laymans terms.
