Scouting? Broken?

Hey guys,

Every year I try scouting again, and then typically shut it off. this is weird for me because I LOVE LOVE LOVE scouting in Football manager. However in OOTP it just never works for me because I think scouts in general in OOTP are bi-polar.

Ok. So to start the season as the Cardinals I need to spend a lot of money on scouting because I have a lot of money and since you are the Cardinals there isn't much chance of getting a top 10 pick. So in pre-season I go in and change scouting budget from like 8 million to 16 million.

The starting scouted ratings look okay, but by the end of the season my scouts think everyone has potential of 80. This made drafting/trading nearly impossible as I had no idea who was a good prospect.

is anyone else noticing this?

Hi, could you please upload your files (http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...es-please.html), and we can have a look. It definitely should not do that.

Also be sure you are on the release version - the first beta version had a bug where the ratings got messed up.

I will try to upload after work today. The league is also currently stuck because of "team x has too few players on the roster".

Although the league file as it is right now is in 2nd season and the scouting numbers are now back down to a different range than what they looked like in the middle of the first season. Perhaps, though, you can see the changes over time?

Would rather get them when things are looking bad.

Installed the most recent patch... did things just the same as before... and the issue recurred. Saved right after the player draft. you can see the ridiculous scouting reports. Same file name.
