Gentlemen's World Baseball Federation

I finally settled on a league concept for '17, a global baseball league of 35 teams on six continents. What makes the Gentlemen's World Baseball Federation interesting to me is how I've flushed out ownership - each of the teams is owned by one of the richest people in the world, and they are owning the team simply for competitive pride and enjoyment, not necessarily for financial gain (although there are a few of those also). It's going to allow me to create media darlings, grand scale parks or private venues, and radical team personalities. Most of the teams draw their names from the industry that the richest person made their money in.

I am strongly considering doing an MLB sim in a separate league along side this one, but I'm wondering how the draft and free agents would work? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Apparently owning a baseball franchise can be stressful. Two franchise owners died within five days of each other and we haven't even got to spring training of season one yet. Thankfully they both have well-established heirs and will be carrying on the responsibility of team ownership.

Tragedy continues, the League claims a third owner before the all-star break. Our condolences to the Sau Paulo Diners and new owner Marc Lamann
