Save and Exit?

Is it available for the historic exhibition games?

Don't see it.

I've not transferred over my league yet, though. I trust this is still an option there?

Started my league. Spring training games don't allow the SAVE & LEAVE either, just LEAVE GAME. Then, you can't save the game nor exit, getting "please exit the real time simulation or exit the game." It appears the only way to "exit the game" is to finish it?

I hope I'm missing something here. . .

So, saving the game in the middle of it and exiting the program is a thing of the past?

There was thread about this issue a few days ago, I tried to find it, but no luck. Below is what I can remember from it.

I think this is what you are looking for.

In the Historical Exhibition Menu select the teams you want to match up. Create the Exhibition, and then hit the button "Return to OOTP Main Screen".

Choose "Load Game" you will find your created series in the"HistoricalExhibition" folder. When you load it you will get the normal OOTP menu instead of the historical exhibition menu. And now you can save your game whenever you like. Fix up the uniforms, etc. then save the game as a Quick Start or whatever you want.

This how I created the 1964 World Series with the correct Facegens and uniforms.

Hope this helped.

No you can still do that. You can't save the game(ootp) but you can exit the game (ootp, not your actual game you are in the middle of playing/watching) This will save and exit OOTP. When you load back up you will be able to continue your game where you left it.

I thought save and leave was in spring training as well, but I'm past that now so can't confirm

I'll have to try a straight exit of the program and see if that's it.

Odd.

Historic seems a bit odd, I just tested that. Can't leave during a game but when you get back to the other series screen (the one like the play off screen) if you exit then you will find you can load the game back in but it loaded in with me as Jim Smith manager of the home team and the upcoming games were on my schedule and i could play them and the save/leave button was there. Not sure that's supposed to happen. Strange!

I was referring to the Historical Exhibition and looks like you have some alternatives there. As goes Spring Training, I was certain that ability still existed. I recall doing that several times in testing. Let you know tonight, unless someone verifies it earlier for you.

Yes, the historical thing was just an oddity I noticed. But once I started my actual season and can't save and exit the program itself mid-game. . . no bueno.

I hear ya. I'd like to save and exit my life some days. But it'd just return to where I left off. No bueno, is right.

Just to clear this up if you "leave game" and then exit OOTP itself it will save and exit and when you start it up again and load last game you will be at the exact point in the game where you left off.

This seems to be working properly now. Must have been a bug.
