Burning through the bullpen too quick?

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I'm playing the first game of the season, Tigers vs. Marlins. We just moved to the top of the 11th, and the Marlins have already burned through the entire bullpen and have inserted the backup catcher, Jeff Mathis, to pitch.

Score was 5 -1 Marlins after the 5th, I made it 5-4 in the top of the sixth, then tied the game in the top of the 8th.

Does AI pitching need some tweeking? like I said, first game, not sure if it will happen again.

Things like may happen every once in a while... not a bug.
