OOTP Online Tutorial
I'm a veteran of the OOTP series. I've never played in an online league, but would like to try.
Can someone explain the basics? Do you play a game and then send a file somewhere? Is there an online portal where it's on the cloud? If I don't play for a day will I be slowing down the entire league? I literally only know that these leagues exist. That's all I know, but am interested in learning more. |

You sign up for a league that sims games (typically 7 or 14 days at a time or various other lengths) on a set number of days, perhaps Monday, Wednesday & Friday or Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday etc,
The commish shows you where to get the league file and tells you what team You make your team alterations, talk trade with your fellow gms (via email, aim or pm) sign FA's promotions & demotions etc then up load the file via the game's ftp mechanisms The commish plays out the set number of days on the set sim day then uploads the results You update the file via ftp and repeat the whole procedure again ! That's the basics
