Almanac problem
I zip each year's almanac to save space but have just unzipped one to access from the in-game drop down menu and got the following message
"ERROR UPPER-AREA-PAGE: handle unable to open almanac could not find file index.html" has anyone come across this after restoring almanacs? Thanks for any information. |

i don't have much exp with the almanac.. but..
that index.htm may not be a complicated thing to fix - it may even be somewhat interchangeable.. peruse manual before doing any of this.. maybe on that alamanc screen there is an option to rebuild that you or i are not aware of... or some roundabout way to do it etc etc... get creative when reading. otherwise... make backup of the various versions of index.htm you have... label them appropriately and move somewher safe like your desktop. 1 go to that archive, find that file, re-drag it to the proper place in the game's directories. fixed? or 2 compare an index.htm to another functioning index.htm - are they roughly the same? or maybe the edits you need to make to one are obvious to the eye? they can't deviate much, depends a bit on technical expertise / relative experience with html/xml type files. or 3 make anew league using a template of your leage, almanac etc etc as you normaly do. move that index.htm over and see what happens. may need to edit it slightly, though, but maybe not. |

No-one, thanks for your suggestions, appreciated. I'm a bit short on technical expertise but I've found that if I open the almanac folder outside the game (Documents) and click on the index icon, the almanac opens perfectly successfully! Not sure what this signifies however!!
