Canton/Cleveland Bulldogs
Founded in 1903 as the Canton Athletic Club, the Canton Bulldogs would play in the American Professional Football Association (now NFL) from 1920-23 and 1925-26. In 1924 the team was sold and relocated to Cleveland before eventually returning to Canton.

Chicago Cougars
Originally a WHA team, the Chicago Cougars were resurrected as an USPHL team in 2015. Using the Chicago State Cougars logo, I decided to give them a modern look

A founding member of the NWSL, the Chicago Red Stars made headlines last year when it was announced they had new ownership in US Hockey Olympian Kendall Coyne-Schofield and ESPN personality Sarah Spain.

Halifax Thunderbirds
In 2018 the National Lacrosse League approved the relocation of the Rochester Knighthawks to Halifax, NS. The Knighthawks' intellectual property was then sold to Pegula Sports Entertainment (owners of the Buffalo Bills, Sabres, and Bandits also of the NLL) who, in turn, started an NLL expansion franchise using the former name.

(New York) Original Celtics
Founded in 1914 and disbanded during WWI, the team was reformed with core members of the "original" Celtics. A barnstorming team, the Original Celtics disbanded in 1930.

Orlando Predators
The Orlando Predators played in the now defunct Arena Football League from 1991 until folding in 2016. In 2019, the team was revived as a National Arena League team.

Staten Island Stapletons
Based in the Stapleton section of Staten Island, the Stapes, as they were known, played independent football from 1915-29. The team played in the fledgling NFL from 1929-32, joining the league on an extra franchise right owned by NY football Giants owner Tim Mara.

Toledo Maroons
A semi-pro football team for 20 years, the Toledo Maroons joined the NFL from 1922 until they were unofficially transferred to Kenosha, WI after the 1923 season.
