Resolution when making logos

So I fired up photoshop and was wondering what resolution should be when I am making logos. And I also want to confirm that the image size HAS to be 150x150 pixels.

League logos have to be 150 x 150... The game will resize the team logos to make them work... I make all of my logos at 300 x 300 or larger, for its just easier for me to work with a higher resolution in Photoshop... I have never had a problem with the game loading the larger size (300 x 300), though some folks have... I suggest if you want to reduce them use a program such as FastStone Resizer or something similar... When I reduce them in Photoshop there is some minor distortion on the edges, but not when I use another program to reduce... Hopes this helps...

Thanks for the suggestions! I was also wondering what is the best amount of pixels per inch.
