WIP: Big World 15

for OOTP16, of course

Might as well close the Super World Creation, as I noted that the real life collegiate leagues bogged it down. I also made a few other "executive" decisions:

-I'm not going to add the Greater Brisbane or New South Wales Leagues of Australia. These leagues mimic semi-pro leagues.
-I've contemplated on adding the Canadian Baseball League. I'm aiming at keeping this league 100% real as possible, compared to the fictional leagues I added this past season. This, however, doesn't dictate that somewhere down the road I personally won't add the league to my game.
-I've adjusted some of the existing Euro leagues from the OOTP15. Remember, this world will come with one year of existing history in Europe. These Euro leagues I will attempt to balance out as legitimate as possible. Either I've promoted a 2nd Tier team (where available), or I added a team from the original OOTP14 quickstart.
-As I noticed eriq split the "B" squads from the Czech 2nd tier league, I opted to create a Rookie league to assist in mimicking those B teams.
-I'll add the Carribean Winter Leagues to the game
-Not sure about adding the Arizona Fall League. If I do, it would be unaffiliated. If I was to affiliate the league, I would have to add 24 more "fall/winter" league affiliates to offset one other. I could do that with California, Florida, and the defunct-Maryland League, but that creates fiction.

Since Hawaii Winter Baseball is no more, I'll add in a few seasons

I don't have artwork for the six (excluding Israel) leagues I've created in Europe.

UPDATE #1:
I've added some new European Leagues as mentioned below. I've got the template set and ready to merge with my CEB world for Game Dated January 1, 2015. When everything is caught up, the merge date will be March 23, 2015, so nothing happens.

UPDATE #2:
Here is the European Template if you wish to add it on to your start date. I'll upload the game with the Euro Template added on shortly.

EuropeanLeagues

Post #20 in this thread has some of the documents I've used.

LMB and SNB of course, they come with the game . Also the LMP as well. I'm looking into adding the other Mexican leagues that play during the summer.

How's the loading time for you with so many leagues? The game's been slower this year, at least for me.

Real teams?
It actually loads better than the Super World when I add NCAA D1, D2, and D3, along with NAIA and JUCO attached to the game. It seemed having those additional 1,000 schools to the game bogged it down, plus I wasn't happy that when you drated a player, they could also have a minimum four years pro experience and every player was Rule 5 eligible.

And, to answer if those additional leagues have real teams? Yes, partially. Maybe 85-90% of them. I think I added a ficitional team (or two) to some to balance out the scheduling. I don't schedule these leagues for 144, 154, or 162 games. I try to make sure their regular seasons are wrapped up in July so that the European Cup (or Challenge Cup for the lower tier leagues) can begin in late August and doesn't run into late November or early December, like it did in OOTP14.

The one league I have trouble and/or difficulty finding info on is the Greek Baseball League. That and five of the other seven leagues I added to the game (Belarus teams were in eriq's 14 release and not 15; Israel is under the CEB umbrella, despite being an "Asian" country). The Mondolva, Ukrainiann, and Portugal leagues I have nothing for....I'll have to look later.

Clubul Sportiv Abator - Real league, fictional teams
Liga Atlantica de Beisbol - 7 team league, eighth team is fictional
Welsh Baseball Union - Real league; they play "Welsh Baseball", which is some form of Cricket and Baseball in some combination
Kiev Baseball League - Real league, teams I've aded are "questionable" as being legit. Confirmed three of the eight that I could find info on.

Not yet. I've been getting my Show fix in with Diamond Dynasty. I will pick it back up tomorrow with the new patch. I was about to post that I've been playing The Show for a week and a half, getting my console fix in. I may be 32, but I didn't have a new release console baseball game last year for the first time since 2002.

Sidebar: The console games that I've owned...just for giggles:

1995: Triple Play '96 (Genesis)
1996: MLB Pennant Race (the original The Show)
1997: Hardball 5 (PS1)
1998-2000: Triple Play '99-2001 (PS1)
2001: Triple Play Baseball (PS1)
2003-05: MVP Baseball 03-05 (PS2)
2005-06: MLB 2K5/6 (PS2)
2006-07: MLB The Show 06/07 (PS2)
2008-09: MLB 2K8/9 (360)
2010-13: MLB The Show 10-13 (PS3)
2015: MLB 15 The Show (PS4)

so I've decided to add three fictional leagues to the game with some deep history, just to make the world "BIG"

-India Premier League
I believe this is darkcloud's creation and I've had hella fun playing this league. Starts in 1951. Will link to the prelude dynasty reports.
-Canadian Baseball League
Original league that started and folded in 2003. Will start in 2003.
-South African Premiership
Fictional league that will start in winter 2006, after RSA's 2006 World Baseball Classic debut!

I'm targeting May 1st. I'll merge everything just before then. Right now, I'm trying to gather some stats and delete duplicate minor league and independent league stats. I'm going to use the 16.4.17 roster build for this.

I noticed eriq added eight new leagues and others to CEB 3.0 (for 16). I'm going to try and add these franchises as expansion squads to the existing leagues for 16. I'll also see if I can get the alignment properly, but I don't play the European leagues with 144-162 games; most of these leagues end their regular seasons in July and have post-season play in August, since the Cup takes nearly two months to complete.

Looks like the European leagues will have 35 champions vying for the European Cup, with three "Qualifying Round" phases that'll be a best-of-three format at the #30, 31 and 32 seeds. I'll match them up as 30 vs. 33, 31 vs. 34, and 32 vs. 35 for equal balance.

I might add the Junior Cup for Tier 3 & Tier 4 leagues. Looks like I'll try and split up the "minor" leagues that have some affiliated teams to create a proper minor league system in those leagues with their respective teams as feeders.

What are your fictional teams for the South African Premiership? I might add it to my fictional world I am currently playing. Do you have uniforms? If not I would be interested in creating them, as I did the set for the India Premier League.

I'd have to look on my desktop. I think the only actual uniform I used was the Durban Freedom that somebody created a couple of years back.

Oh and BTW...the IPL game has been fun to play!

Never noticed I could build a custom league using a previous league as a template and removing the duplicate leagues..this just sped up getting this done!

I've added a zip file with the stats from the 2014 European Cup, the European Cup and Challenge Cup brackets, the IPL timeline with an excel sheet that contains history, and the full list of the CEB leagues tied to which association.
Attached Files
File Type: zip Big World 15.zip (323.6 KB, 83 views)
