Sad Career ending injury

This guy was 15 wins away from tying the all-time mark in my league before a torn triceps ended his career at the age of 37. Still had one of the best careers ever, and will definitely be a first ballot hall of famer. Still was rated 77 out of 80 when the injury occurred too.

I didn't even notice how tall he was, nice catch. He also went 17-1 in the year 2051. I'm shocked he stayed with one team for as long as he did, usually players in my league bolt after their first contract ends.

my saddest career ending injury story involved julio urias... as general manager of the rockies, after the 2015 season, I traded tulowitzki to the dodgers n receive urias (a top prospect). I bring urias up in september of 2016 (or 17 im away from comp) n he is brilliant... the next season he pitches great as well. then over the next 3 or 4 seasons he misses large amounts of time due to a shoulder strain. he misses over 2 full seasons. finally, after missing all of 2020 with once again, a strained shoulder, he os forced to retire due to the injury at age 23... his ratings and performance when healthy were great. I would have loved to see what his career would have looked like if he could have been healthy. I think he could have been special... now its just a sad tale of what could have been.

I wish there was an option to turn off career enders

I had a CF who was about 22 and already 4.5 stars. Looked like the next Ken Griffey Jr. Of course halfway through his first season and he's hitting .300+, he decides to donate his kidney to a cousin and effectively end his career.
I can totally respect the decision but I always think (and cry softly) about what could have been. :'(

I noticed that to and missed the African baseball league. To the original poster: Was this tough to setup, or any specific manual intervention?

Only 21-ish starts a season? Do you run a short schedule, like a 100 game season or so?

If so, he's definitely HOF material. Really, he is even if you don't, but then you have to question why he didn't start more often.

He runs a 100 game season.

How can I tell?

He's 69-31 and it's the offseason in his screenie
