as an old Raiders fan from way back in the old AFL days, Kenny was a fav of mine, he epitomized the Raider mentality/image, he was a helluva a personality and QB, I remember a pic from somwhere of him sitting on the bench, head down with a paper bag (with the neck of a JD bottle sticking out) between his feet

Agreed.

He was passing with accuracy that didn't become normal among NFL QB's until 15 years later. A great player and a great personality.

I think the interceptions hurt him but most were late in his career. When he had the weapons he knew how to use them. He had more yards than Namath played and performed well in some big games. Bob Griese is in the Hall and all he did was handout to Csonka. Cliff Branch should be in the Hall too.
