Is this just some cockeyed perception on my part?
My league started in 1946. I edited my owner to be a cheap SOB with profit as his priority. He's my 3rd owner as I went from 1946 to 1962 with the A's franchise and resigned to take over the expansion Astros. I was fired after 3 years. Then I took over the Braves in 65 because they were the feeblest team and I've been with them ever since.
It's 1999. I've put more than 50 years into this league. I think I've noticed something and I was wondering if other people have noticed something similar. My skinflint owner was fine. He whined about going over budget but we got the horses we needed. The last 7 years of so (in the 90's), I barely have enough to put a competitive team on the field and it gets worse every year. I'm letting guys go the owner wants me to extend (with what? Scotch mist?). I'm signing older and cheap guys to keep a team on the field. The situation is deteriorating. My question is, is it tougher in the 90's to play with financials than it is in the 50's? I've never really played the 90's (they offend me) but here I am and I'm wondering if they're different. If someone has noticed (or not noticed any differences), I'd be very happy to hear about them. Thanking y'all in advance, once again.

It's pathetic when you reply to your own post.
Does no replies mean I'm the only one who wonders about this or I'm off my rocker?
