OK, so, for all of you obsessive-compulsive league creators like me out there...
I like to painstakingly configure my little baseball world. It's a pretty straightforward fictional league that looks like this: New World Baseball League (ML) - 2 SL x 2 D x 6 T = 24 teams total New World Prep League (AAA) - same setup as ML New World Middle America League (AA) - 2 SL x 2 D x 6 T = 12 teams total New World Northeastern League (AA) - 2 SL x 2 D x 6 T = 12 teams total New World Texas League (A) - same setup as ML New World Canadian League (S A) - same setup as AA New World Golden State League (S A) - same setup as AA New World Liga Mexicana (R) - same setup as AA New World Southern Florida League (R) - same setup as AA All of these teams have custom logos, jerseys, and caps taken from various places. I don't know a HUGE amount about minor league baseball, so it's possible I'm using actual team nicknames and logos in some cases. I play stats only, and use feeder leagues to keep my drafts populated with players with actual stats. (Although I don't pay much attention to the names of teams and so on.) Anyway, I set all of this up, and then I like to sim without touching anything for 10-15 seasons, so that I get a nice base of history. Then I take over as a manager at rookie ball and manage for a year. I like to see if I can get promoted, but at the end of the day I will promote myself if I have to to keep things moving. ![]() But one of things I like to do is inspect the league a bit after the long sim, just to make sure everything looks OK, before I actually start playing. If there is anyone out there who does something similar, what sorts of things do you look for when you spot check the league? Thanks!!
