FIVE triple crowns!!!

In a fictional league of mine, there was (well it's the postseason of his age-43 season, so he should retire) a ridiculously good player named Tim Garcia. There are all kinds of other ridiculous accomplishments of his, but looking through the accomplishments screen, this one was the most astounding.

Would you mind posting his stats page? He looks mildly ridiculous.

I had a starting pitcher win 3 triple crowns once on OOTP14 I think. What was so ridiculous about it was his name was Pat "Stringbean" Martin. He was 5'10 170#.

I had a guy win triple crowns his first TEN seasons...but he's an experiment in Performance-Enhancing Edits (PEEs), so he doesn't really count. He hit over .500 twice, though.

Did he lead his league (NL/AL) or lead MLB?

OOTP still doesn't differentiate between the NL/AL triple crown and the MLB triple crown.

I once had a dude win 12 STRAIGHT MVP awards. He was so he displaced Kris Bryant, and he's entering his age-34 season and is 300 hits shy of 3000, and 150 HR of the Bonds record.

This reminds me of the time I edited Ryan Flaherty to all 200/250 ratings in the editor....

Wow. There's a guy in my league right now that's currently won 5 straight Cy Youngs and it looks like he may be on his way to 6, but he's now on the worst team in baseball so his W/L isn't attractive, but his stats are so ridiculous.

.350 average and 57 HRs at 40? Wow. Was he injured for the 1914 season? Wonder how much longer he could have kept it up if he didn't miss that season.

I started the league in 1901, yeah it really sucks he was created as a player at age 28 already.

I cheated and expanded the roster from 25 to like 37 players in the 1913 season I think, too lazy to clear off my roster (I had just taken over a team), and I didn't realize that it would have the effect of upping everyone's team payroll and screwing up the free agency process. Garcia was a free agent after 1913, and teams simply didn't have the money to pay him.

Wow, BoSoxFan, the years may say 1901-1914 but you are not playing with Deadball Era settings in which batters can barely hit the ball to the outfield (I'm exaggerating, of course; triples abound), much less smack 60 HRs. I'm in 1922 and I am just beginning to see a few orange power ratings.

Yeah, I'm using modern settings.
