Future Fielding Question

In my online league, I signed this player as an international amateur free agent. He shows 21/80 potential at both C and 1B, however for obvious reasons I'd like him to be a C. His 35 (20-80 scale) arm rating bothers me though, I value defense heavily at the catcher position. Will his arm rating develop to a serviceable level (45+)? Also, if I moved him to 1B, how poor of a defender would he likely be there?

At 17, all of those ratings have much potential for improvement. You sometimes must just take a chance and wait. Make sure he gets playing opportunity and use player strategy to force starting him at C if that is your decision.

One thing for sure, though: If you were to play him now (or later, if he does not develop sufficiently), he would be a disaster at either position.
