Option to not pause while playing game

Hey, I remember in past versions of OOTP, there was an option you could uncheck that would prevent the need to hit spacebar, click, what have you after each batter. Did they move that option? Is it gone? Did I possibly hallucinate and it was never there in the first place?

Top of screen towards the right hand side you should find the check box.

Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner but I've been researching the drug laws in Kansas to better answer your question.

I use this same feature when watching my team play. I just wish it didn't eliminate all of the"extras" in the pbp text such as the opening statement about the game, the records of the starting pitchers and relevant stats for hitters the first time through the order.

Dyzalot,

You could leave the option unchecked until you've gone through the order once, then check it for the rest of the game.

I could but that would be less convenient but yeah, that is an option. Don't really understand why having no pause changes the nature of the pbp text though. Like sometimes you get the intro info to the game and sometimes you don't. Makes me wonder if it is a bug of some kind.

If you use the "continue" button to start the game's first pitch,
it will display the pre-game info you seek.

Yeah but if you finished the last game you played or watched with the box checked to not pause then when you start a new game it defaults to that setting and there is no "continue" button to select. What is even the purpose of having different PBP text when you are using the continue button as compared to when you have the box checked to not pause the game?

Yes. My work-around is to try and remember never to finish a game with those settings, (AI control), for the very reason you stated.

You can also uncheck the pause after each play box from the in game screen. It's on the far right, to the left of the red configure screen option.

Are you playing or watching? Earlier you said you were playing but this feature only applies to watching.

This is correct, the AI has to have full control of both ball clubs in order for this option to appear.
