Service time and free agent status

Hi,

I've just started playing OOTP 16 and had a question about service time and free agent status.

Based on what's happening in real life with Kris Bryant and the Cubs (they are leaving him in the minors for at least 12 days so it delays his free agency for a year), is there a way I can see this in OOTP? I know I can see Major League service time but is there a way to get advice from my assistant GM to say something like 'If player X stays in the minors for x days, we will postpone his free agency by a year'?

Also, is there a quick way to see when someone is eligible for free agency? I can only see there what their status is for next season (free agent, Arbitration) but not the year the would become a free agent.

Thanks.

Look at major service time and subtract from 6 years, keeping in mind that 1 year =172 days service.

Example: a player has 4 years 47 days service on July 3 with the season ending Sept 28. If he stays up the rest of the season he will be at 4 years 140 days. This tells you he cannot be a FA until the season after next.
