Remove Player from 40-Man Roster

Is there a way in Commissioner Mode to take a guy off of the 40-man roster without making him clear waivers or designating him for assignment?

Probably, have you looked in the Player Editor?
Worst case scenario he can be released and reassigned in the Player Editor.
