is OOTP16 backward compatible to OOTP15?

I play in a league that is online and run with OOTP15 still. I have purchased OOTP16 and will "import" the '15 file to use. Can I still export lineups and my files to be played on the older OOTP15? Or do I still used ootp15 for that and the newer version is just for myself basically for now?

Online leagues everyone must be on the same version+patch. So you will have to use 15 for the online league and enjoy 16 yourself. At least until you convince everyone in the league to upgrade
