Play At The Plate

Is a 24 team, modern, fictional league with a solid history. We have a new and committed Commissioner, but because of a brief hiatus and the conversion to OOTP 16 we also have several openings (as seen/updated below). We are in the off-season right now, so you have a good chance to set up your team for the 2024 season! Send me a PM through the OOTP forum (at the link below) or you can also visit the PATP forum and the parallel post to this one and e-mail me from there to inquire about a franchise.

Having been a long time GM of PaTP I have opted to stay on as I know our new commish from another league. As a GM he has demonstrated the ability to observe the details of the game with a propensity to analyze, and question when necessary, the nuances of the game. Commissioners of leagues that he is a part of recognize him as an asset to their organizations. I anticipate he'll bring both a high level of energy and engagement to PaTP.

Finally, we have some very good GM's aboard that make the experience worth considering.

The 162 game season itself is broken down into 7-day sims.
There are a couple of places where things get slightly extended because of timing (so let's say 26-sims roughly per season schedule).
We do 4 sims per week as you see.

So rounded, that might be 7-ish weeks.
The off-season takes at least a few more weeks to process.
