The portion of the game that handles contract negotiation, both free agent and international amateur free agents, makes decisions on a daily basis. Like notifying teams that a player has gotten a better offer and such.
But most online leagues sim 7+ days per sim. So teams make offers to international amateur FAs and get a message back saying they had to up their offer. But since the league sims 7 days the GM doesn't up his offer until the next sim and the AI doesn't hear back in a day or two so figures he isn't countering and accepts an offer.
The multi-day sims make it so you pretty much have to make your best offer and can't really negotiate with FAs.
So my request would be to have a variable that can be set to the sim length. By default it would be 1 so negotiations are updated each day (as is now). But if the league is an online league the variable could be set to the sim length (7 or whatever) and the negotiations would be updated each sim. This would enable having negotiations with FAs and international amateur FAs in online leagues.

That is a nice idea, but you could end up with some of the top guys hanging around free agency forever in terms of in-game years. And that wouldn't help leagues that like to increase the number of days per sim in the offseason. I probably isn't feasible, but you'd almost need an eBay type system, here is my minimum offer, and this is as high as I'm willing to go if the player doesn't accept the initial offer.
