To start, I am ONLY an avid OOTP player. I have had successful teams, and unsuccessful teams. I've been at the top and bottom of my division many times in several different leagues and I have played with great GMs with whom I've discussed many things OOTP related. I'd just like to share that knowledge with the community. I am by no means the best or even a pro at OOTP.

In my online league we have a lot of new members that join up and have little to no experience with OOTP 15 but are in love with the game and want to be successful at it. I frequently get asked similar questions by the guys that struggle to win or maintain success so i decided to make a video offering the best advice that I could.

To start, my very first video was for OOTP 14, and it was about finances. The financial aspect of OOTP can be a lot of information for people to dive into and is very easy to get lost in, so i made a video explaining it in detail. That video was linked to the OOTP Facebook and tweeted by the OOTP Twitter account, if the mod (or Markus) that runs those social media accounts remembers that, thanks for publicizing my video. I appreciate it.

Now, in OOTP 15, I'm having a huge influx of new guys again and the general questions are again about Finances, developing prospects, navigating the menus, building a winner, etc. They aren't actually asking questions as vague as "How do i win?!" but you get the point. I decided to make videos offering as much advice as i could to those who want to learn. I figured I shouldn't limit this advice to just my league, so I am here on the forums to ask for suggestions on topics that people want help with or explained.

Currently, I have made 3 videos including "Finances", "How to Develop Pitching Prospects pt. 1 and 2" I plan to do a "navigating the menus" video for 15 but with 16 coming so soon i may just wait. Or I may not, i enjoy making the videos and it isnt that time consuming.

Almost 2 years ago I made a video about Finances for OOTP 14 and received about 2000 views, and the video i made for Maneuvering Through OOTP 14 Menus received about 3,000 views. I did not advertise these videos and made them with the intent of getting about 30 views (the amount of members in my league) but apparently others have gone to e YouTube for advice and I'd like to offer my help to those who want it.

Please ask me for videos to make and I will try to explain to the best of my abilities!

The videos can be found here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNA...pNulY4DSXnwxgQ

I run our social media accounts and remember linking to your videos. Thanks for creating these new ones.

Are you going to do videos for OOTP 16 too?

Feel free to email me with links to new videos as you post them. Just PM me to get my email address. Thanks!

Brandon S...

Two Questions

1) Can you do a video on developing batters or what to look for when you develop batters like u did for pitchers..

2) When u mention your in your pitcher videos about pitchers getting 100 IP and such to get a good ready, how many SP, MR and CL do u think is a good number for each of your Ball clubs..

Like are we good with 5 or 6 starters? 6-7 in your Rotation and have 1 closer but if your closer goes down have a back up?

As for pitching goes i was thinking

5 SP 7 MR (Relivers) and 1 CL is that a good/decent size pitching since you said to watch for 100 IP to develop pitchers

Thats up to you, i like to do 12 pitchers and 13 batters on my 25 man. In the minors, there usually arent limits so you can have like 30+ players in your minors. So the 12 pitchers include 5 SP and 7 in the bullpen including the CL. Sometimes, if i have top notch relievers with decent stamina, (anything yellow) then i'll go with 11 pitchers and 14 batters. Its not uncommon for my relievers to throw for 100+ IP in the majors. If they are great relievers, then why not get the most out of them? Im a bullpen enthusiast! Great bullpens usually mean winning teams!
