Game log terminology

The game log says things like "Groundball, 4M", "Groundball, 34", and "Flyball, 7LM". I figure the number refers to the area of the field guarded by the fielder (7 = left field, 34 = hole between first and second base). What do the "M" and "LM" mean, as well as any other letters used in game logs?
