Israeli Player Names

So in OOTP 15 the players that are only from Israel have the "wrong" names that are actually not from the country. My parents are Israeli and I go to Israel every year, so I obviously know many of the names that are from the country of Israel. My issue is that the names currently in the Israel "name pool" are just completely off and really aren't realistic for the country. Sure there are some that work, but mostly it's arabic names from other countries in the Middle East. (Okay, honestly, I haven't found one name that actually fits and makes sense for someone of Israeli descent) My guess is Israel along with a bunch of other countries in the game are all in one single pool for Middle Eastern countries (Such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, etc.) and that's why the names are like that.

My big question is: Will Israel be getting some realistic names in OOTP 16? I wanted to create an Israeli league just based in Israel for OOTP 16, but this is really ruining it for me, making me ditch the idea. I want to be able to recognize the names of the country while playing, but that's just not possible as this screenshot shows. (http://i.imgur.com/9kTXZxL.png) Names like that are either really rare or just don't exist in Israel on a large scale, and are more for the neighboring Middle Eastern countries. Which is why I believe there's some kind of pool with which all the Middle Eastern countries get their names from, including Israel.

Also, if it's going to stay, is it possible for me to edit the name pool that exists and add my own names? It's probably a bit too ambitious as I probably need thousands of names. But if it's not too bad and would only take say an hour, I'd be willing to do it.

I know this is extremely nit picky, but as someone who knows Israel and the names that inhabit the country, it's quite unrealistic and OOTP strives to be as realistic as possible. Just how I feel Thanks for reading!

Oh, well that answers it! Thanks! Hopefully that gets added to the real game because that would be amazing!

Also, how would I add my own? Do I just write it in? This is what the list says:

Aaron,14,39
Ab,1,39
Abba,1,39
Abbas,2,39
Abdeel,1,39
Abdiel,1,39
Abe,4,39

If I wanted to add "Abrack", would I do it like this:

Aaron,14,39
Ab,1,39
Abba,1,39
Abbas,2,39
Abdeel,1,39
Abdiel,1,39
Abe,4,39
Abrack

What do the numbers mean? Do you know what I should put next to the new name?

Out of the Park Baseball Manual

That's a direct link to the name file section of the manual. Will answer that question.

If I'm not mistaken, the first number is the country or region the name descends from and the second number is the frequency in which it is used...obviously the higher that number, the more often that name is used. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong...

I have seen where it says that the language of Israel as arabic obviously that's incorrect and it should be Hebrew. I for one would love to see more Hebraic names too

This has come up before (and the discussion didn't end well lol):

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-all-jews.html

I do think that more than 40 name sets are needed in the game (256 makes sense), but I think Markus has said it's not an easy thing to code.

Israel had a baseball league for 2 years possibly 3. Couldn't the names of players be included as well ??? I know not all of the players were Jewish but at least a place to start if doing the naming from scratch. How about even having an independent league using that league and perhaps the names of players. No need to use the rules from that league can keep the American style rules. Had hoped it would succeed but the people in Israel has said in various news articles they didn't understand the concept differences with Cricket and Baseball a few didn't understand why they wasn't allowing the hitters to hit the ball that sort of stuff. Sandy K was there and tried. This is the furthest they have ever gotten with baseball in Israel. Sandy K. Did say they might try again in a few years but this time I don't know.

I would try to collaborate with Questdog on this. Perhaps it could be added to his mod

It'd be nice if a future version could eventually add dedicated languages for both Cuban and Israeli names, which are very different than the Hispanic and Arabic names currently used...
