Love for Fictional Players

I believe there was a poll a couple of years ago that indicated that fictional players were nearly as big in numbers as MLB OOTP players. Despite this, it has been a number of years (6?) since fictional players have received any significant enhancements/options to the way that they play. In fact, replay players have gotten a significant amount more love over the past several years than 'us.'

Can we get some features this year? Lots more check boxes? different types of leagues? PROMOTION/RELEGATION?

I've been playing OOTP since OOTP 4 and admittedly despite this year being the best game quality maybe ever, I've played less than every before. Simply put, it's nearly the same game for us fictional players every year with minor enhancements that are more catered to MLB players and simply also translate to our way of playing.

So can we get some love this cycle?

ootp 15 has been the first vesion I played so I can't speak for prior versions, but a pro/reg feature would be amazing.

I agree a lot more should be done for custom and fantasy leagues. More so than just promotion and relegation.

Honestly I thought 14's additions of being able to control what countries my players come from and international complex and reserve clause rules were as useful and amazing for many different fictional ideas I had. I saw 14 as a giant boost to my fictional leagues compared to past versions.

Also, concerning promotion / relegation as per Markus...

"No, this will not be part of OOTP 14.. This is a LOT of coding work and can be done by the user manually already (using the league structure editor)..."

Yeah how about being able to enable/disable rules such and edit how things like the iFA bidding work?

Oh gods this. The current IFA structure doesn't take league budgets into account at all. If you set the cap at 800million, and team payrolls are ~20 million, top IFAs will demand 800million+. If you set the cap at $0, they sign for $0. Etc.

I'd love to see IFAs become free-for-all bidding like they are currently, but with the demands scaled to team payrolls or league settings (like how FAs demand money relative to other players), and the ability to then adjust the cap up or down without altering player demands limitlessly upwards. Or, the ability to completely turn the cap off and have no limits on the bidding.

As always, I will throw my support behind promotion/relegation.

I just want improvements as to get fictional players that are edited to come closer to matching what their stat line says. Also would like to see something that Tony La Russa baseball had. There was an option to have players start cold and end hot, start hot and end cold, even all year, peak in summer, peak early & late. That type of thing.

Also I want chicks in the game, as an option. Gets tedious editing an entire 30 rd draft class for anyone named Rebecca who is 6'9 275.

I'd love to have Promotion/Regulation implemented into the game but I'd rather see customizable tie-breakers put into the game first. I'd also like to be able to loan players to National squads for International tournaments. With the WBC every four years this is a must.
