AI "skill" in fantasy drafting
What do you think of the AI's ability to perform an inaugural "fantasy" draft? I used real rosters, capped salary at $115M and moved scouting to 100% accurate (I knew who I was interested in; I did this hoping it would take the randomness out of AI player evaluation and give all teams equal quality of drafting).
I found the AI did a good job in the first few rounds but then seemed to ignore prospects all together. In fact, it is pretty easy for a human to come out w/ mid-level ML quality, but an amazing bullpen, and a farm system that is absolutely stacked (like, 20 of the top 100 prospects). Just wanted to see what others think or have experienced. |

Same, the AI seemed to build a good ML team but not a Farm. My ML team was horrible but my minors were 1st by 2-3x the Points used in the Top Minor System report.
By the second season enough prospects had grown that I was too far ahead of the AI for it to seem fair.

I am going to try Bristolduke's advice and change each teams strategy to more heavily favor prospects, and set each teams financials to be identical. Does anyone else have any advice on how to get the AI to draft in a more balanced way?

Protip for fantasy draft leagues: Don't turn waivers on until AFTER you have run the contract recalculation script! That way the top prospects will be recalculated to minor league contracts and won't be waived by the bad AIs.
