Historical rookies already fully developed?

Hi,

I started a historical league in 1994 and wanna do a "what if there was no strike" game. So far so good, my Brewers are 11-21.
Now that rookie list got published and all the real names are there, but they are all already fully developed?

If I draft Brian Giles I get a star player that goes right in the lineup, but not a very good prospect.

Did I do something wrong when setting the game up?

Dwayne Hosey e.g. was drafted in 1987 and not 1994. Nomar Garciaparra who was drafted in 1994 is not in the draft pool.

Players appear in OOTP the year they made their MLB debut. I do remember a post by Markus saying it's not a good idea to move a historical draft out of the default November. In your example, Brian Giles isn't actually supposed to appear until the 1994 off season. He made his MLB debut in 95. Nomar will show up prior to the 96 season, the year he made his debut.

ok... So there's no chance to draft a "highly talented" Nomar and hope he develops into a super star - or not?
All I can do is draft the fully developed Nomar in 1996?

There is a user made database you can use that will bring players in at 18. Seek out forum member "The Game" and I'm sure he will be glad to help you with it.

I changed the draft date back to November, so that the whole thing is more balanced. Do not want a new game because it took me quite some time to edit stuff.
