Hi there,
I have set a 1994 historical league. Now I'm about to start just to find out that none of the players in the league has lefty-rights splits. Did I mess sth up when setting up the league (if yes -where?). Thanks! |

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking, but their ratings are split up based on vs L and v R if that's what you mean. The top right quadrant of those pages has it.

But the players should have different values (normally) when facing a lefty or a righty. In my game everybody has the same value, no matter if facing a lefty or a righty. Like Hamilton who bats left, should maybe 7/9/5/11/12 against lefties, but 9/11/7/13/14 against righties. |

When setting up a historical league there is an option during league creation to have random L/R splits or have even splits like you have. There is no historic split info in the database so the splits would be randomly created by the game.

If you want accurate splits, I think the only option is to edit them by hand from another data source (like baseball-reference, which gets theirs from retrosheet I think).

BTW if you are looking for that option you need to click the tab that says "advanced options" right under where you choose the start year and it is a check box half way down the left hand side of the screen

No chance to change this once the game is set up? |

Will newly created players - like rookies or international FA's - have a L/R split?

You mean fictional players? Yes, they're generated with platoon advantages.
