How many World Series/Championships have you won in OOTP?
Could be from your many years of playing numerous dynasties, or strictly with your current file. If you don't remember the exact number, just give an approximate.
Of course it's also important to state the number of teams in your league. I've won 4 World Series titles running the Toronto Blue Jays over my 18 year tenure. I'm currently at the beginning of the 2032 season and I'm having a blast. We won in 2016, 2017, 2025 and 2031 playing in a 32 team MLB. One of the things I love about this game, is that it's not necessarily easy to win championships.

I won 3 times in 4 years with a team in my fictional league, then decided that was too easy, switched to a stats-only MLB league, and haven't won in eight seasons.
![]() EDIT: To clarify, it was 3 wins in 4 years after a 3 year rebuild. Last edited by Fyrestorm3; 07-06-2014 at 08:45 PM. |

Since v12 good results are very hard to come by. See from 2066 on. My 2090 season may be my last in this persona. Oops I'm Texas.

When I started playing OOTP 2014, I won maybe 6 with the Phillies over ~30 years. That game crashed and I started a new franchise with the Royals. I played about 40 years and won 7 or 8. The high point there was when I won 4 in row. That franchise also crashed eventually. I need to learn to backup.
Now with OOTP 2015, I tore down the Phillies to win the WS in 2015. Lol...if only that would happen irl. I'm in 2025 and I've won two more in 2022 and 2024. It's funny that some years, I've had crazy good regular season records, only to get knocked out in the first round the playoffs. In 2015, I won the WS as the wildcard. |

Current game still looking for my first one. I think my best in a previous game was something like 8 of 11 or 6 of 8 or something like that. Usually I get to that point, and then either go take over a new team or start a new game.

I haven't won anything in my mets one. 1st year we won 89 games and made it to the NLCS but lost to the Nationals. Year 2 won 88 games and got knocked right out and now I'm in year 3 and I'm hoping we can breakthrough with the pitching staff we have!

I have won once in twenty MLB stats-only seasons. I was admittedly lucky, and that is not that far ahead of random chance, so I am not real proud of it.

It's why I like stats-only. Some people like building a dynasty and winning handily year after year, but I prefer the struggle. Makes the victories mean more. Though it's getting aggravating, as I've now been bounced in the ALDS 5 seasons in a row. It's like a curse.

But I like to play stats-only hard mode much more than playing vanilla easy mode, where I can dominate for decades. It gets a little frustrating sometimes, like when I had an apparently unsolvable black hole at second base for six consecutive seasons, but overall it's the most fun I've had playing this game.

Explanatory note: I tried a total of 14 guys at second base before one of them finally could hold down the job.

I usually build a team capable of going on a run like RchW, but honestly I find myself more focused on my player stats than my team accomplishments.
for example, I drafted a kid 1st overall and he was 2.5/5.0 by september call up, then made team out of ST the next year (3.5/5.0) and posted league avg stats (disappointed he didn't win RoY), but now in his 2nd full season he is 5.0/5.0 and is leading the NL triple crown race at end of July. I find chasing statistical records more rewarding than WS, I mean I want to win, but if I get upset in playoffs I'm not freaking out. Note: I play hidden ratings, Potential only, hidden injury rating.

So, there are 3 different leagues for me to consider.
1 - Historical Red Sox from 1901-present day, started in OOTP 14. All simming, no manually played games. From 1901-1938, I have 8 World Series wins. So, 8 wins in 38 seasons. 2 - Historical Red Sox from 1974-2010, started in OOTP 12. I play out every game. I am in the 1985 playoffs right now, but from 1974-1984, I won 10 World Series in 11 seasons. 3 - Modern Red Sox from 2012 onward, started in OOTP 13. I play out every game. Draft pick trading is allowed. From 2012-2021, I have won 7 World Series in 10 seasons. Overall, 25 titles in 59 seasons. Ultimately, I consider manually playing to be vastly different from simming, so I'd use separate categories of 8-for-38 and 17-for-21 to be honest. |

The Raccoons have won two championships in 20 years in my (24 team) league, and those were back-to-back, the last two of three consecutive years we faced the same team in the World Series.

7 in 30 years in my fictional league, now a 32 team league, started with 12 teams back in OOTP 10. In the middle of my first real rebuild in the 2040 season, not gonna win another one for possibly another 30 years the way it's going so far...
