as you have probably realised, we had an extended server outage over the weekend, ranging into Tuesday. This was due to a hard drive crash, which also killed the raid-1 system of our server which usually is intended to prevent data loss. Luckily, we had a backup which was just a couple of hours old. However, the support of our server provider turned out to be really bad (we pay lots of $$ for 24/7 support, but it took them over a day to respond to our ticket, and another day to find out what the problem was), so everything took much longer than expected.
Becuase of this, we have now switched to a new server provider. It's more expensive, but it allows us to mirror the site and all the data, which will prevent something like this from happening again.
