Scouting Questions

So I'm about 30 minutes into playing FHM (finally pulled the trigger). I am liking it fine so far.

I ended up sending a scout to western/sourhtern Europe. Two of the players he found currently play in a U14 league.

At what point can I look to add these youngsters to my team?

Depends on what team you're playing - every league has its own minimum age (visible in League Menu - League Rules - Contract Rules). For most of the playable European leagues it's 16 or 17. The NHL requires the player to go through the draft first, so if you're an NHL team, you'd have to wait until he's 18 and can be drafted. If you want to screen out the players you can't sign yet, you can set the maximum birth year in the scouting assignment screen to ignore the players born after a certain date.

Thanks so much! I am playing with a European league and I'll check out the rules.
