Logos and Uniforms Not Updating Automatically

I'm playing a historical playthrough and my MLB logos/uniforms aren't updating appropriately.

So for example, the White Sox in 1980 should have the blue batter over their word mark. Instead I have a 1960s era (when I started the game) white sock in a red circle with a batter drawn over it.

The files are named correctly:

Chicago_White_Sox_1976-1981.png

I have "Lock team logos" on the uniform/logo settings page unchecked for each team.

I have "Update/Generate Player Pictures" in Game Settings set to January 1st.

Reloading the game with "Run full check for correct logos" also didn't fix the problem.

Running "Check All Picture Files" in the Game/Players & FaceGen Settings doesn't force an update either.

Going team-by-team and auto-loading everything works, but that's pretty time consuming for a function I though the game had baked in.

Am I mis-remembering how this function works? Do I have to go team-by-team every Jan 1st or am I missing something obvious?

Do you have an underscore (_) or dash (-) between the years? Pretty sure it should be a dash.

Typo in the post, dash in the file names is there. Good catch though. I’ll edit my post.

Something else I thought of, if I simulate a large chunk of time, say two years at a stretch, would that prevent updates even if I have FaceGen every 1 Jan?

I feel like it should still update because it cranks through updates for a long time on 1 Jan but I thought I’d ask.

Anyone out there who has success with auto updates who can help me out? Thanks!

Do you have more than one Jersey file that overlaps in years? For example one from 1970-1980 and another from 1975-1980? Sometimes that messes things up.

Thanks for the reply.

First things first, thanks for the hard work on the 23 format changes! I appreciate the work you and No Pepper have done, and those are the files I've been using for my historic playthrough.

So the dates on your files are pretty clean, but based on your feedback, I went through and cleaned out the whole folder. I think the problem was either multiple files from version updates or other downloads.

It's working now, and I learned a valuable lesson about keeping an eye on the graphics folders, especially after new versions are released.

Glad that worked. There were some changes to files in the 23 update so it’s possible there was a conflict there. My advice to anyone would be to clean out the folder and start fresh with the pack. You can put other uniforms back in that you may need for other games after

My caps folder was the same way messed up. I did the same thing. Tossed it out and redid a new fresh caps folder. One thing I've learned about OOTP, if you don't know much about files and folders, you will surely learn.
