Can't sign a HC

2nd year in Carolina. Hired Quennville, then got fired from the Canes. I retook the job from available jobs, but when I go to hire any HC, my game keeps crashing.

Should I wait until the end of the season to try and sign a HC or should I go ahead and reinstall the game (and lose out on my saved game)?

I don´t think waiting till the end of the season helps anything.. I had the same problem in my game and I went several seasons without a head coach because the game crashed every time I tried to sign a new one.

If you're able to hire a head coach you might have the wrong version. 1.6.8 disabled it as you are not supposed to be able to hire a head coach at this time. The crash is probably because you have a head coach on the team.
