Fastball Velocity
Does it have effect on stats when simming games?
I'd hazard to say yes, but I have only started to get into this game so I don't know, there are a bunch of good pitchers in the draft and I am wondering if I should take note to pitching velocities. I'd imagine having a guy throwing in the upper 90's would be better than someone in the low 90's, but i'm not certain. And would you guys take a high velocity fireballer with lacking movement/stuff etc. over a slower pitcher who'se stuff/movement/pitches are rated better? |

Indirectly, yes. Velocity has an affect on some of the pitch ratings, which in turn contribute to the pitchers' "Stuff" rating.
