Issues with teams trading away recent major FA signings

Okay, I'm two seasons into free agency in MLB history and both years I have seen a lot of the major free agent signings being traded away that very same season. I'm talking about players signing with new teams who are still in their prime.

You don't see teams signing highly successful players in the offseason, only for them to trade them before July's trade deadline. That would be like the Mariners trading Robinson Cano in the next month or the Yankees trading away Jacob Ellsbury within the next month.

It just seems like a tweak or something needs to be done to counter act it. I mean I could maybe see one trade like that, but I was counting quite a bit of trades like this happening.
