How much should I pay attention to the "Up Green Arrows" for my minor leaguers?
I am just wondering how accurate that is.
Also, since SIRMICHAELJORDAN mentioned on another post that he had a 20/20 pitcher win a Cy Young 4 times, and I have had a catcher and an OFer 'explode' from 20/20s to a 72/80 and 62/68 respectively this really piqued my interest. Also, when putting together minor league teams, do I have to worry about having the correct amount of players on a minor league team for fear of not getting starts (pitcher and batter)? For instance, should I only have 5 SPs, 1 C, 3 OFers (1 at each position)? I noticed a couple of guys not getting starts. I've also noticed that my Rookie guys and Int'l guys, get no stats at all? I really never had to worry much about this 'stuff' with my historical replays. Thx |

I usually will listen to the arrows if the stats support it.
I have a top prospect in AAA right now with a green arrow next to his name, however he has a .212 average at triple A so Im going to leave him there until his stats support his "green arrow". Rookie league is a very short season, not sure exactly when it starts but they generate stats towards the end of the regular season. It's like a 2 or 3 month season. You can check the rookie team's schedule to find out for sure. Intl complex players don't generate stats until you assign them to a rookie team. |

At one time I liked the minor league suggestions...but to me the ratings and stats with scouting on muddle the whole thing up. I feel this area could use work...I know in 15 promotion and demotion frequency are diminished...but I don't know if the "logic" has been altered.

I would pay little attention to the arrows, because even the AI doesn't listen to them. I have the computer set to control promotions and demotions up to the AAA level, and I still see the arrows all the time. I currently have a SP in AA with a "down" arrow and a SP in A with an "up" arrow, but the AI's left them right where they are.
I treat them similarly to ratings - see what they say, but take them with a grain of salt. |
