nutt's official wishlist for OOTP 15
I'll update this sometime this weekend...
1. Minor League Contract with Major League option should have four options available: spring training invite (should be a check mark box) and the option to select: 30, (default now), 45, or 60 days. 2. Additional coaches/scouts in OOTP15: Bullpen, 1B, 3B coaches along with "REGIONAL" scouts. 3. In-depth Awards: We already have the "Hitter of the year", which should really be the Aaron Award. The game needs an actual "MVP", which is the player most valuable to his team's success. We have a pitcher of the year, rookie, and gold gloves. The game is missing a reliever of the year and silver sluggers. 4. Award based incentives: Right now, we have AS, MVP, CYA, and GG. Adding the SS award and finished-based incentives from MVP and CYA would be nice, as well as LCS and WS MVP awards. 5. Playoff Selection in Association Mode: -Right now, I have been playing eriqjaffe's quickstart of CEB. I'd like to have my 16 teams that play the first round play a best-of-three, then qualifying for "group play" at the Round of 16. -The ability to select multiple teams, not just the placeholders, for Association. Example: Selecting the team with the best record AND the LG champion (runner-up if best record qualifies) 6. Assocation League Histories: History of any team competing in the playoffs in the Association History, along with total championships. 7. Non-Roster Invitees to Spring Training 8. Split Squad Spring Training 9. Opt-out clauses in contracts: Players can opt out after Year X if he chooses. 10. All-Star Game Mode: In case of no divisional/conference/league play, ASG could be previous league champion versus all-star team, a fantasy draft of teams, Country of Origin/Area versus International/Others 11. PED style testing: League has none, low, soft, average, extreme levels. Each level constitutes games difference. (soft would be pre-2007 levels, average would be greenie levels). 12. Arbitration cases are heard in February, not November. If a player is offered a contract, either a default date on the calendar, or a "hearing" (The Show does this version, I prefer the latter) to determine if it goes that far. This gives you time to negotiate a contract, instead of ruining the player's morale, short-term on negotiating a contract, or trading a player because he wants a one-year, $15M deal, when you would prefer to give him 3/33, etc. 13. Posting system to transfer within Major Leagues, similiar to *** and KBO with MLB. 14. INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION!!!! When I say this, I refer to simply the WBC, Olympics, etc. We don't have to necessarily see a qualifying system, but players selected by their country to play. Players could even turn the tournament down. The tournament could have a value name, based on Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High (WBC would be High, Olympics--they don't play anymore would be Low, Premier 12 would be Normal and Continental Tournaments would be Very Low) 15. Fix the user GM from winning Manager of the Year, or create an Executive of the Year award. A GM should be held seperate in records than a Manager, and if I'm the user, I shouldn't be winning an award that my field manager should get. Last edited by nutt; 01-02-2014 at 01:08 PM. |

Markus has said in the past he won't implement base coaches unless someone can give him definitive proof from a study or something that shows their worth. At least that is what I remember.
Also I absolutely love your #10 |

I think Markus has said that NRIs in spring training would require a major rewrite, I may be wrong on that though. However I would love to see spring training with NRIs and intersquad games, it would give you more opportunities to evaluate and develop players.

So unfortunately while I would love to see NRI or split squad games, These probably won't be here for awhile... |

I also want to add for 14 I don't necessarily need the tournament be exactly the same set of rule as in real life (pitch count, mercy rule, extra inning rule, etc), but just the ability to create some kind of international play would be nice to have for now.

That I agree with, although I think the mercy rule should be an option 10-7, 15-5, 25-3)
