Injury setting--maximum preference

I would love to see an additional option available when setting up a league in regards to injuries. I think the low, normal and realistic high work great, but I would love to have the option to select a maximum duration in terms of time missed. For example, I would love to be able to set the max duration to 7 days.

This would be a huge plus for those that like to play historical with real transactions. With rosters being limited to only the players that actually appeared for a team in a given season, it's often a disaster when a team gets hit with several lengthy injuries. Even with injuries set to low, if 2 of your catchers randomly get hit with lengthy injuries, you can end up with Aurelio Rodriguez behind the dish for weeks, months etc.

Now, let me say this, if this option is put in place, I don't expect Markus to rewrite the injury file so it only contains injuries that would disable a player for the max period chosen. That would be silly and wasted work.

I also know the file can be edited. I will not edit my game. Not out of laziness, but out of the sure knowledge I will screw the pooch and ruin it for good.

Ugh, pretty bad when you post something and realize the flaw yourself a second later I guess the minimum would have to be what ever level triggers a dl stint for the AI. Otherwise, you could end up with a crashes due to the AI having a bunch of hurt guys that can't play but with injuries that don't warrant a dl placement.

OOTP will actually force-play the injured players at that point, I believe, if it's unable to make any sort of transaction to get a healthy player onto the team somehow.

This goes well with the idea I've seen elsewhere where you break injuries up into two different settings, one for frequency and one for severity, having a set cap on injury length, on top of being able to adjust the average severity, would be a neat addition.
