simplified game

I am desiring a simple way to play games with historical teams, no draft, salaries, set schedules, dates I want, etc. Is there a way to set everything up so that I control both teams playing, eliminate upcoming dates and deadlines, no drafts, just something to play in perhaps a basketball type tournament bracket format? All of the bells and whistles are great for the serious minded player but not for me, thanks.

When you first set up the league, you can import whatever historical teams you want. You just have to delete the existing teams first. If you want to delete league events, press the button with the name of your league on the top of the screen (by your GM's name) and and then click on League Events. You can set average salaries for different types of players from League Setup and also configure how many games you want to schedule and how many teams make the playoffs and the format of those playoffs. It will take some time to set up but you can do all that you want to do relatively easy.
