Hey all, I'm back! (AND, amazing box score!)
Hey everyone, I know a lot of you remember me from 13 and prior from dynasty reports mainly, but I was also one who had the "draft budget/market size" idea that a lot of people got play out of last year. If people have forgotten about those, I'll link to the posts later on.
I wrote a dynasty report for last game, but unfortunately my CPU blew up a few months back completely and I just got into a nice new machine recently. So, of course, I had to get in on the new OOTP!I just wanted to say hello to my friends, and remind people of the "draft budget" idea for inaugural draft leagues. I'm not sure if I'll be doing my "Level Playing Field" dynasty as a report this year -- but I also wanted to share THIS amazing box score from early in my Level Playing Field (random debut) dynasty:Its a Random Debut league starting with no history and fixed strategy and financial settings so the entire league will play under the same rules (with the same balls, bats, gloves, parks) to get a real "level playing field" look. Here, Rob Ducey (who has been beastly out of the gates) finished off the first cycle in MLB history with a walk-off two run shot in the bottom of the 17th inning to clinch the victory for my Tigers. Tom Glavine had to come in to relieve from like the 12th or 13th on, and pitched brilliantly. Gotta see where he is in the rotation now. AMAZING ballgame. THIS is why we play. So happy to be back! Hi everyone!

It's amazing.
So nice to be able to play/watch anything I want without having to worry about silly system requirements!Good to see you and the Colonels are still going strong. I wish I could have saved my league to have kept my dynasty going from 13 but oh well, I can always start another!

I searched down the threads from last year so if anyone wants to check out what we figured out as far as Market Size and using draft budgets in inaugural leagues to get a really good financial setup for your league! Here's the two links for anyone who was interested.
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...r-markets.html A lot was based on this initial post: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...41-post10.html Enjoy! If you have questions on the stuff, please try to reply here so we don't have to back and forth on the 13 forum!

Welcome back!
A question about the boxscore - is Brennan's blown save legit? Given that Meyer didn't pitch 5 innings, he wasn't getting the win, so the blown save seems a bit anxiously given. Perhaps it's the correct interpretation of the save rule, but it seems odd. Regardless of whether or not the game went into extra innings, let's say Meyer pitched the rest of the game and DIDN'T give up the tying runs. Brennan couldn't get the win because he didn't pitch 5 innings, meaning Meyer gets the win. I can see that, in this case, Meyer doesn't get a HOLD, but I don't know that he blew a save. Having said that, it sure looks like Harrison blew the save in the 11th and didn't get a BS for it.

Brennan's BS is not legit. He had no possibility of earning the save, so it shouldn't be a BS.

I guess someone at OOTP HQ should review the save rules, because I still think a BS should be awarded to Harrison, too.
