Excited to have a hockey sim back but...

I am very excited to have a hockey sim back. I love the idea of having the historical leagues and the custom leagues! I can see many references to OOTPB in the layout and the way things work but there are a ton of things that make me disappointed so far:

(1) No boxscores during the game - either live or even after the game - I have to finish the game, finish the day, then go the league menu, then schedule, then backtrack a day to access the boxscores - that's simply horrible. As a coach, I want to see the boxscore live, see who's playing well, who's a negative, etc...

(2) I want to see whether or not it's a power play goal, I want to see what goal number it is in the boxscore. I want those little details that make reading the linescore entertaining and interesting

(3) Player cards in game should show season and game stats (perhaps a toggle) like GP, G, A for season and Time on Ice, Shots, Pts for current game

(4) A score scroll bar or something like that to see the results of other games in game and / or on the top or bottom of the screen in the main

(5) Way better trade negotiations, ability to offer a player up for trade (like in OOTPB).

(6) An easy way to check on other leagues (like in EHM) so I can see how other leagues are doing.

For me obviously the simming of games is very important - that's the part I love - having lots of control over the individual games in a season if I want. As it is right now - watching a sim is relatively boring - better off simply simming it in one swoop.

That being said - I fully support these guys - they are working hard to provide us with a real hockey sim for the first time in a long time. There's a long way to go, hopefully some can be achieved with a patch or two but I'll stick around for the ride.

I'm also with the ones that are disappointed with this game.

My problem was that I expected something like the OOTP settings when playing in-game, viewing the baseball park, pictures of the players with their stats on that baseball field. It makes me feel like I'm at the baseball park watching the game.

Playing the FHM beta there was the ice surface display, shots being displayed on the surface. pbp very raw but despite all that I had hope on major improvements in this area.

Then came the later beta, ice surface totally GONE. And seems like no hope of it of even being implemented. Now I see this game a total waste of my money.

But since it is a Markus project I will not request a refund but think of it as a donation. After all, the OOTP series are always worth a lot more then what they are asking for.

Unless they bring back the ice surface, making us feel like we are at a hockey rink, giving us the feeling of being part of a hockey game then I will never be interested in this simulation ever again.

Just my opinion.

The UI won't help a lot, but this is doable if you actived the leagues at startup
